-1 lb ground beef
-1 small yellow onion, diced
-2 cloves garlic, minced
-1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano
-1/2 teaspoon of dried basil
-1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
-1/4 cup of grated parmesan cheese
-1 egg
-1/2 cup of breadcrumbs
-Salt and pepper, to taste


1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, garlic, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, parmesan cheese, egg, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
3. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×5 inch loaf pan and form the meatloaf.
4. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and the internal temperature reads 165 degrees F.
5. Let the meatloaf rest for 5 minutes before serving.
